
Design, prototyping and new product introduction of LED PAPI (L-880/L-881) and very compact LED runway lights (L-849/L-859)

A novel and compact sensor was researched and developed to monitor plant health and plant stress. The sensor was fabricated and validated in house and the Intellectual Property protected for the client.

A technology review for a Venture Capital organization resulted in the cofounding of CoolEdge Lighting. The efforts included assembling the organization, setting the engineering strategy, leading the engineering team and filing and securing government funding in excess of $2 million. [link]

Invented the award winning Quarkstar Edge-X technology and lead the team taking it from concept to production culminating in the installation at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. [link]

Performed optical, thermal & mechanical simulations as well as tear down analysis for competitive review and legal matters.

Simulation, characterization and optimization of the interaction of various lighting technologies with the artwork and specification of the final lighting technology and products for the Sussex Ave, Burnaby public art project.
