The Gaia Photonics Surgical Light Pod 20-00001 is a drop-in replacement for Skytron Aurora and Aurora II systems designed for superior performance compared to OEM components.
Ease of Use
The exact mechanical fit and compatibility with the existing Skytron Aurora electronics make the replacement of the Light Pods effortless and time efficient. No changes to the Skytron Aurora system are required.
Lifetime
State of the art high-reliability ceramic LED packages, thermally efficient design and a consistent manufacturing process result in ANSI/IESTM-21 predicted lifetimes >50,000 hours to 90% of original light output.
The Surgical Lightpod is a UL recognized component under UL file E548175.
Light Output
The Gaia Lightpod utilizes state of the art large format ceramic LED packages. This provides Illuminance levels up to 200% of the OEM specification. At medium dimming (dimming level 3) on the Aurora control unit the maximum OEM performance is already exceeded
Color Rendering
The Surgical Light Pod provides exceptional color rendering capability throughout the entire gamut including deep red (R9) and skin tones (R13).
Color consistency
Unit to unit color variation of the center emission is less than 2-step MacAdam ellipse and virtually imperceptible.
Beam uniformity
A robust optomechanical design and factory alignment ensures optimall overlap of the individual emitters, unit to unit consistency and stable beam profile over time.
Production control
The optical performance of every Surgical Light Pod is evaluated in a final QC test and an individual report is generated. This guarantees that each and every product meets or exceeds the specification.
